How did you get into biking?
I first started riding bicycle during middle school (2002 or 2003). A guy on my school bus got kicked off the bus for a few months and he started riding his bike to school. (we lived about 7 miles from school) After watching him do this for awhile, I decided that it was a good idea and started riding my bicycle to school as well. This lead me to ride to other towns in Wayne County over summer vacation and then to other cities. Every time I completed a goal I made a new one.
What’s your favorite bike ride?
I rode my bicycle to Alaska and back in 2012, which this is my favorite ride overall. However, my favorite Buffalo ride is to Buffalo to Niagara Falls on the Canadian side of the Niagara River.
What’s your favorite thing about Buffalo’s bicycling community?
My favorite things about the Buffalo cycling community is that whether you race, socialize or commute on bike you can find others that do the same.
What are your favorite winter activities?
I enjoy cross country skiing. I also commute to work by bicycle year round.
Why do I coordinate?
Coordinating is a great way to give back to the cycling community. I also really enjoy leading the A ride.
