We created The Campus Cycling Collective as an concept in 2011 as a way to stay active year round with the people we loved riding bikes, or skiing with. It has evolved over the years. At its height promoting over 150 events a year! We incorporated in 2016 to become an official 501c3 organization. These days we put on more in the neighborhood of 35 events a year consisting of the following:

  • The Great Winter Get Out!: A 3 month scavenger hunt incorporating bikes, cross country skis and snowshoes and Buffalo’s fabulous winter.
  • A Moonlight Snowshoe Outings (weather permitting)
  • The Tour duh Gravel: A 8/9 week gravel group ride series showcasing the best in WNY gravel routes
  • Various Trail Maintenance Days at Hunter’s Creek Park: We work with WNYMBA to maintain and build multi-use trails for all park users
  • The Wednesday Night Road Group Ride Series of 9 Road Rides with 5 separate rides each week (May-August)
  • The Wednesday XC Mountain Bike Race Series at The Brook: 6 weeks of racing at Sprague Brook Park (May-July)
  • Campus Cyclocross Practice: 5 weeks of cyclocross instruction and practice races.(Denied by Parks Department)
  • Cross in the Park: WNY’s most fun cyclocross race in Delaware Park(Denied by Parks Deparatment)
  • Beaver CX: Our second cyclocross race on the calendar on the beaches of Beaver Island State Park on Grand Island (November)
  • Mechanical Support at major charity rides. So far: The Sky Ride, Bike MS, Ride for Roswell, Tour de Cure, and Hospice grand Fondo.

The CCC is funded mainly by our competitive events like the Wednesday MTB Race Series at the Brook. The CCC also purchased a shed to house all the WNYMBA trail tools at Sprague Brook Park with proceeds funded by the Wednesday MTB Race Series. We strive to keep the majority of our events calendar free as it has always been. We have experienced the rising costs of insurance, race supplies like course tape and event fees. Your donation can help us continue to make WNY a better place to ride!

All donations are tax deductible.
