Sunday November 2nd 2025 is going to be a day to remember. We’re bringing back Cyclocross at Grand Island’s premier Beaver Island State Park for yet another year. This place has all the goods including WNY’s best cyclocross sand pit, mixed riding surfaces, rolling terrain and beautiful waterfront views. Can you ride the beach? There’s only one way to find out! The history of Cyclocross at Beaver Island goes all the way back to Brenden Conway’s Beaver Island Black Out! in 2012, No one who was there that day will ever forget that experience…

Join us for a great day on the bike or spectating with friends and family. This year’s edition of Beaver CX is not USAC Sanctioned so you do not need a race license to participate. Why would we do that? We wanted to reduce the barriers to entry. No race license means no extra fees for new racers. Less confusion and complications for our Canadian friends willing to cross the border. No reason not to come out of retirement if you happen to be an “experienced” racer that hasn’t renewed their license for a couple years. All in all, a lot of reasons to race, very few reasons not to!

Racing will start at 10:30am with a course designed specifically for our Junior racers and continue through our final race of the day ending at or around 2pm.

We will allow day of registration but ask you to please pre-register if possible. These events take many volunteers to run successfully and any and all preparation that can be done ahead of time makes these days run much smoother. Double up and race a second race for only $15!

New for 2025: The Buffalo cyclocross promotors have teamed up with The Campus Cycling Collective (the organizer of this race) to bring you The Rust Belt Ruckus! : A Buffalo Cyclocross Series This will be race 3 of 5 in the series.
